SOCIAL SEWING
The Wood Street Sewing Bear happens every other month in The Wood Street Bear, E17 3LX
It is a free informal evening where you can come along and meet other stitchers and sew alongside them.
Bring your own hand sewing project or use some of my materials to make a mini sampler or scrap patch (donations to cover materials are appreciated).
This is not a formal workshop but i’m happy to give guidance and advice and you can always get tips from your fellow sewists!

STITCHHIKES
Would you like to spend more time in nature?
Would you like to walk in local green spaces?
Would you like to learn some simple hand sewing techniques?
Would you like to meet others who also like doing these things?
Then come along to a StitchHike.
A StitchHike is a gentle walk in the outdoors with a pause to sit in nature and stitch.
I provide material, needle and threads and will guide you to create either a stitch sampler or a decorative patch to take away with you.
The length of the walk and time spent stitching can vary, so check individual events for details.
Up Coming Events
StitchHike
21st March 11am,
Walthamstow to Highams Park.
This is a free community stitching social, and not a formal workshop.
It is predominantly a Bring Your Own sewing event; a chance to get some fresh air, stretch your legs and enjoy some stitching with others in natural surroundings.
The walking will be gentle, for around 20 - 30 minutes, but please dress for the weather and be prepared for some muddy paths.
If you would like to make a mini sampler using my materials let me know and I will bring supplies. (£2 cash donations appreciated for this, if that is accessible to you).
As always I'm happy to chat all things sewing and give tips and advice!
Remember to bring any appropriate supplies that you would usually take on a forest stroll (water, snacks, flask of tea etc.)
To sign up to join and receive full details of start point and route please email.
